Coming out on top against other toy giants such as Mattel, the award was collected Amuzo on behalf of The LEGO® Group at the event held at London’s O2.
Brand new products from top toy brands were tested by their biggest critics, kids! 100 children got to play with, review and keep an array of toys before the panel of five junior judges decided the winners.
Hosted by TV presenter Nigel Clarke of BBC, ITV, and Nickelodeon fame, the awards saw entries from household names Moshi Monsters, Bandai’s Tamagotchi, Hasbro’s Transformers, LEGO® Friends and more.
The ceremony was the next big step for Bournemouth businesswoman Gemma Gallagher who won the government funded business competition Starter For 10 with the idea to create an online platform for kids to review toys. And so ToyTesters.TV was born.
The event was endorsed by celebrities such as Toonattik presenter Anna Williamson, who appeared on ITV’s Splash, and X Factor Online’s Luke Franks.
Other award categories included Coolest Toy, Best Invention, Best Pocket Money Spend and Top Toy of the Year.
ToyTesters.tv now has 350 young reviewers from all over the country providing toy companies with invaluable information about their products.
