We’ve been playing musical desks again here at Amuzo. At the beginning of the year, we thought our new offices held more space than we knew what to do with, but it turns out that isn’t the case.
We’ve managed to convince born and bred Northerner (and cameraphobe) James Froggatt to join us on the sunny shores of the south coast to become our new GUI 2D Artist. It seems he’s pretty happy about it; “I’m thrilled to be on board, everyone has been very friendly and welcoming and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in with the new upcoming projects Amuzo has. I’m also loving being by the seaside.”
Originally hailing from Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire James joins us from Codemasters in Leamington Spa where he was previously for four years. While at Codemasters James worked mainly on the F1 franchise for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC between 2011 and 2015, as well as the steam early access game DiRT Rally, part of the Colin McRae series. Prior to breaking into the games industry, James studied BA Hons Graphic Design at the Lincoln School of Art and Design.
A prerequisite for working at Amuzo, besides a tolerance to being shot at by Nerf guns, is a passion for games, and it seems James inadvertently has a thing for titles beginning with the letter F. His favourites are the Far Cry series, Final Fantasy, and FIFA (Quote: “Which I like to think I’m pretty good at!”) Hear that Dan and Steve? I think you’ve got some new competition on your hands at lunchtime.
