Main duties and responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing technical solutions for a wide variety of game elements and will work collaboratively with a small team of designers, programmers and artists.
  • Involvement in all areas of game development
  • To act in both lead and support developer roles on client projects, liaising with internal disciplines
  • Independently create complete solutions from scratch
  • Work as part of a team, but with plenty of opportunity to take responsibility on an individual level
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and deliver high quality code
  • Game coding for browser based games, mobile and other new and emerging platforms
  • To identify future trends in game technology and other related areas and use these trends to Amuzo’s advantage

Skills Required

  • 3+ years professional game development experience, working as part of a team or in a lead position
  • C++ and / or C# experience essential
  • Console and Handheld industry experience highly valued
  • Unity experience highly valued
  • Unreal experience is a bonus
  • Ability to write robust, cross platform, reusable and maintainable code
  • Strong knowledge of common game architecture and design patterns
  • Mobile game development on iOS and Android platforms highly valued
  • Ability to conceptualise, present and execute ideas within a schedule
  • Experience and ability to share best practices and mentor teams
  • An appreciation of online / mobile gaming is an advantage
  • Creative spirit is essential
  • Awareness and understanding of Agile scheduling processes
  • A passion for making great video games
  • Strong attention to detail

We are recruiting for an experienced game designer to work within a multi-disciplinary team and to drive and follow a multitude of high profile projects for leading brands from concept to completion.

Main duties and responsibilities

As a games designer you will be passionate about games, game development, and the craft of game design and be up-to-date on new trends and practices in the games industry. You should be comfortable with taking initiative and independently finding creative solutions to complex problems. You should have very high standards in everything you do and a devotion to creating the best possible player experience.

Skills Required

  • Two years professional game development experience, working as part of a team with a proven track record in designing free-to-play mobile games
  • Able to support the product vision through the design of large-scale game systems that maximise engagement, revenue, and retention
  • Passion for designing fun and engaging features
  • Experience with designing easily understandable, yet deep game systems
  • Experience in balancing game content from at least one shipped / in-market social / casual / freemium game, ideally on mobile
  • Great skills in creating accessible user experience for mobile users
  • Structured, result-oriented working approach, tailored to each individual project
  • Experience with wireframing, flow diagrams, and prototyping
  • Strong knowledge of level progression, game balancing and pacing
  • Experience in bringing games all the way from concept development to success
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Description

You must be flexible, adaptable, passionate and technically aware. You must possess the commitment and drive to take command of a project and organise it into a controlled and seamless production process.
Reporting to the Head of Production to help with all aspects of scheduling and team management throughout the development life cycle. You will manage the process for multiple projects whilst working in conjunction with each discipline playing a key role in creating award-winning games.

Main duties and responsibilities

As a Producer you will be passionate about games, games development and possess a strong understanding and knowledge of the processes involved accompanied with a strong desire to learn.
An awareness of best practice processes such as Agile is essential as the person we require must possess a knowledge of the tools of the trade. We will provide the awesome location, fun working environment, fantastically talented team and a variety of stellar projects on a variety of hardwares. The candidate must posses that special ingredient that says they want to make great games, on time, in budget and of the highest quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for the projects successful delivery and will need to display an ability and willingness to work with the team to ensure consistency between vision and implementation.

Skills Required

  • Strong team management skills – experience of managing teams of developers in all disciplines
  • A strong team player, who is able to deal with difficult situations and problems
  • Strong risk analysis skills where it relates to scheduling, budget, personnel and design
  • The ability to identify and communicate project milestone goals and objectives
  • Ability to learn quickly and turn your hand to a variety of tasks
  • Awareness and understanding of Agile scheduling processes
  • Published titles with Producer credits are essential
